David Hane founded Trenchant, Inc. to help clients plan and execute their business and corporate growth strategies.

He is a results-focused consultant whose expertise lends valuable support to clients who want to achieve strategic objectives and realize tangible value. With 25+ years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies, David has led and worked in varied growth-related engagements including merger integrations, spinoffs, business consolidations and more. He is quick to identify obstacles that impede progress and works with clients to isolate and remediate root causes. He thrives in a team environment where the bar is set high. 

David started his management consulting journey at Booz Allen Hamilton (now Strategy&) where he provided analytics support for business process re-engineering engagements. Before joining Booz, he worked on distributed computing systems development for AT&T Bell Laboratories and the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He's also held technical sales roles with enterprise software vendors in data warehousing (NCR Teradata) and middleware (BEA Systems).

He holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Management. When not at work, David is an avid ice hockey player and serves several volunteer causes in the Twin Cities.
